By your application dateo August 8,1990, and affidavit from B&W Nuclear Technologies dated August 24, 1990, you submitted B&W Document No. 86-1179795-01, "ANO-1 HPI Flow Rate Requirements," and requested that. it be withheld frw public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790.

B&W stated that the submitted information should be considered exempt from mandatory public disclosure for the following reasons:

1) The use of information by a non-member would decrease his expenditures, in time or resources, in designing, producing, or marketing a similar product.
2) The information consists of test data or other similar data concerning a process, method or component, the application of which results in an economic advantage to the B&WOG.

We have reviewed your application and the material in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 2.790, and on the basis of the= statements from B&W, have determined that the submitted information sought to be withheld contains trade secrets or proprietary commercial information. Therefore, the B&W Document No.

L 86-1179795-01, "ANO-1 HPI Flow Rate Requirements," marked as proprietary, will l

be withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(b)(5) and Section 103(b) of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
