ENCLOSbRE REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR WATERFORf, UNIT 3 The following information is needed to evaluate Louisianna Power ano Light's submittal entitled, "An Evaluation of the Natural Circulation Cooldown Test Performed at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station," CEN-259.
1.
Technical Specification 3.7.1.3 requires that the condensate storage pool contain a volume of at least 170,.300 gallons during operations in Modes 1, 2 and 3.
What percent of this water is available for cooldown under natural circulation conditions?
2.
Is there any other safety grade cooling water (i.e., in addition to the 170,000 gallons) available for cooldown of Unit 3 under natural circulation conditions? If there is an additional source, then provide an est' mate of the additional amount available.
