We have received a copy of your application dated September 2,1986, which was filed with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (0NRR) for review. This application transmitted the Shoulder Gap Evaluation report which requires NRC review to detennine if the existing fuel element assemblies have sufficient available shoulder gap clearance for the next cycle at the Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit No. 3.

The fee required pursuant to 10 CFR 170 was not remitted with your application. Therefore, it is requested that your Company remit the application fee of $150 for your September 2,1986 request. Your Company will be billed for any additional costs for the review of your application in accordance with 10 CFR 170.12(c) and 170.21.
