REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

1. By letter dated January 29, 1986, you requested the latest completion date of Construction Permit CPPR-126 for Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station Unit I to be extended to August 1, 1988. In the same letter you provide a "second quarter 1986" date related to completion of implementation of the Comanche Peak Response Team Program Plan. In addition, you have announced revised schedule estimates that indicate the detailed reanalysis and reinspection effort and all related plant modifications that may be necessary is estimated to be complete in time to support commercial operation of Unit 1 in mid-1987. In light of the above, provide additional detail on whether the extension requested is for a reasonable period of time.
2. Explain in more detail your use of groundwater withdrawal and how it relates to your 40 gpm limit.
3. What will worker populations be during the construction permit extension period and how does it compare with peak year during previous construction?
