Re: Haddam Neck Plant Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1 Generic Letter 83-28, deted July 8, 1983, required you to address specific concerns and to take specific actions related to post-maintenance testing of reactor trip system and all other safety-related components and reactor trip system reliability. By letter dated November 8, 1983, you provided a description of your planned or completed actions regarding the above items for the subject plants. Based on our review of your submittal, the staff finds that your responses to the specific issues identified above are acceptable. Copies of the safety evaluations for both plants are enclosed. We note that the staff is currently reviewing the need for on-line functional testing of the reactor trip system at the Haddam Neck Plant under Item 4.5.2 and will report our conclusions in a subsequent safety evaluation.
