Anwncrent No.144 to Operating License DPR-57, issued August 10, 1987, provided a highe.r ten 4erature setroint for the instrucentation that isolstes the reactor water cleanup (RUCU) systen upon detection of high anbient temperature in the RWCU equipr<nt room. By letter dated October 26, 1987, GPC notified the NRC that implerentation of the teraperature setpoint change was being held in abeyance pending resolution of a possible discrepancy in the analysis that supported the change.

Your letter of April 28,19EC, advised that a re-analysis by your architect /

engineers had contirted that the Unit 1 setpoint change granted by An.endineet 144 is supportable en the saine analytict1 basis as provided in CPC's original l request. Accordirgly, the NRC ccncurs with your implenentation of the change as authori:ed by An'end:nent I AA.
