SUBJECT:
SAFETY SYSTEM ENGINEERING INSPECTION (NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO.- 50,321,366/ 99-09) 1
Dear Mr. Sumner:
1 i
This letter is to inform you that the safety system engineering inspection (SSEI) at your Hatch facility previously scheduled for April 5 - 9 and April 19 - 23,1999, has been rescheduled for June 7 - 11 and June 21 - 25,1999. The designated team leader, McKenzie Thomas, will make arrangements with your staff to discuss the inspection plan in more detail.
The inspection will examine the high pressure coolant injection (HPCI) and reactor core isolation cooling (RCIC) systems. The inspection will be conducted using Inspection Procedure 93809,
" Safety System Engineering inspection (SSEI)", and will involve a team of up to five inspectors.
The information requested to support the inspection effort was identified in the enc'osure to our earlier letter dated February 19,1999. For completeness we have included this request as an enclosure to this letter. This information will be needed by May 21,1999, so it can be reviewed by the team in preparation for the. inspection.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. If you have any questions regarding this
- inspection, please contact Mr. M. Thomas at (404) 562-4631 or Mr. K. Landis at (404) 562-4605.
