HATCH NUCLEAR PL ANT
Dear Mr. Sumner:
On November 9,1998,' the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) Office of Investigation's (01) initiated an investigation to determine if a contract radwaste worker had
. been terminated by a General Technical Service (GTS) supervisor at the Hatch Nuclear Plant for engaging in protected activity. The Ol investigation, was completed on January 15,1999 l
. and concluded that the evidence developed during the investigation did not substantiate the l
. allegation that the GTS supervisor terminated the former employee for engaging in protected activity. We plan no further action with regard to this matter.
l In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this latter and the enclosure will be placed in the Public Document Room.
