Bulletin 89-01, " Failure of Westinghouse Steam Generator Tube Mechanical Plugs," requested PWR licensees to determine whether certain mechanical plugs supp!ied by Westinghouse are installed in their steam generators, I
and if so that specified actions be taken.
4 We have reviewed your letters dated June 16, July 12, and August 30, 1989, t
in which you have indicated that all of the suspected defective mechanical plugs supplied by Westinghouse that were installed in.the Millstone 2 steam generctors were repaired during the refueling outage for Cycle 10 operation l
and during the mid-cycle steam generator inspection outage in October 1989.
This provides an acceptable resolution to this issue.
