Description:

Turbine Sump Oil Separator Outfall No.800218 Parameter: Oil/Grease Parameter No 00556

1. -Date of Incident: 10-31-79
2. Identification of specific effluent.limitation exceeded:

Monthly average limitation of 15 mg/l for oil and gr~**

3. Description of Incident:

For the month of October,- five samples were collected with a daily average of 21.9 mg/L

4. Apparent Cause:

The problem was apparently caused by a failure of the oil separator 6r improper operation.

5. If not immediately corrected, the anticipated tinie the condition is expected to continue:

6. Corrective Action ~ The follo~ing corrective action was taken or will be taken to re9uce, eliminate and prevent recurrence:

The separator was restored to proper operation and subsequent analysis shows results in the 1-10 mg/l range after 11/1/79.
