Laundry Wastes Prior to Dilution Outfall No 800174 Parameter: Phosphorus - Total Parameter No 00665

1. Date of Incident: 10-20-79
2. Identification of specific effluent limitation e~ceeded:,

Daily maximum total phosphorus limitation of 2.0 mg/l.

3. Description of Incident:

On 10/20/79 a total of 5,000 gallons of laundry water ~ith a total phosphorus .concentration of 2.58 mg/l was. released.

4. Apparent Cause:

A change in the type and quantity of detergent used occurred at this time.

5. If not immediately corrected, the anticipated time the condition is expected to continue:

6. Corrective Action - The following corrective action was taken or will be taken to reduce, eliminate and prevent recurrence:

Adjustments were made in. the quantity of soap used. A possible problem with the testing reagents is also being evaluated.
