1. Date of Noncompliance: Augu~t 18i 1980

2. Identification of specific effluent limitation exceeded: Oil and grease daily maximum limitation of 20 mg/l.

3. Descr~ption of Incident: The weekly grab sample collected on August 18, 1980 was analyzed and i.ndicated 27. 3 mg/ 1 oil and grease. It is believed that this is a transient condition and was below the limit within a short period of time . .The sample on August 26, 1980 indicated 19.7 mg/I.

4. Apparent Cause: Apparently oil from Plant components was getting into floor drains and was not being effectively removed by this oil separator system.

5. If not immediately corrected, the anticipated time the condition is expected to continue: .N/A

6. Corrective Action - The following corrective action was taken or will be taken to reduce, eliminate and prevent recurrence: Plant staff will begin placing*

oil absorbent pads, as necessary, throughout the Plant in an attempt to limit oil getting into the sump system.
