1991 Occupational Radiation Exposure .

The attached table summarizes personnel radiation exposure by job function, workgroup and employer for.the year 1991.

The attached table and the method by which it was prepared meet the reporting requirements of Section 6.9.lb of the Palisades Plant Technical Specifications.

The exposures, derived from direct reading dosimeter (ORD), secondary TLDs and electronic dosimeter (ED) data, were adjusted by a factor which corrects the ORD/ED/Secondary TLD exposure so that it is nearly equal to the thermoluminescent dosimeter exposure used in compiling the legal radiation exposure record for each individual. This correction factor is applied to each job function/workgroup/employer category on the attached table.

Special maintenance activities for the year 1991 included Steam Generator replacement; extensive piping hanger repairs and valve work; containment air cooler VHX-4 modification; install.ation of new neutron monitors; modification of Safety Injection (SI) tank level switches; removal, replacement and testing of pressurizer heater transformers EX-15 and EX-16.
