LA SALLE COUf4TY STATI0ft, UNITS 1 & 2 By letter dated April 22, 1985, we provided a draft Safety Evaluation (SE) based on your fiovember 5,1983 submittal. We indicated in our draft SE that you had not defined the criteria for the need of independent assessment of the event following a trip or described a systematic safety assessuent program to assess unscheduled reactor trips. By letter dated June 5,1985, you provided a response to our concerns.

We have reviewed your response and have concluded, besed on our review, that your item 1.1, " Post-Trip Review Program", for La Salle County Station, Units 1 & T., is acceptable. Our revised SE which provides the details of our eval-uation is enclosed.
