Staff Acceptance of the Inservice Testing Program, Revision 2 l
for Vogtle Unit 1 (TAC 65725)
I By. letter dated June 25, 1987, as amended by letter dated August 27, 1987, Georgia Power Company (GPC) submitted for NRC review and approval its pro-posed Revision 2 of the Inservice Testing (IST) Program for Vogtle Unit 1.
The revision includes cold shutdown valve testing justifications and addi-tional relief requests not included in the approved IST program addressed in Supplement 6 to the Vogtle Safety Evaluation Report.
The staff, with technical assistance from EG&G, Idaho, Inc., has completed its review of the proposed IST program changes and finds those changes acceptable. The bases for the findings are provided in the enclosed staff evaluation and the associated contractor's report.
