NRC INTEGRATED INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-424/98-08 AND

50-425/98-08
Dear Mr. Beasley:
This refers to the inspection conducted September 26,1998, through November 14,1998, at the
Vogtle Units 1 and 2 reactor facilities. The enclosed report presents the results of that
inspection.
During the inspection period, your conduct of activities at the Vogtle facility was genera!!y
characterized by safety-conscious operations, sound engineering and maintenance practices,
- and appropriate radiological work controls.
The NRC received a supplemental response dated November 17,1998 to Notice of Violation
50-424,425/98-05-01. We have evaluated your response and found that it meets the
requirements of 10 CFR 2.201. We will examine the implementation of your corrective actions
during future inspections.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enclosures, will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
