C. 20555 Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Response to Administrative Letter 99-02 Operating Reactor Licensing Action Estimates Ladies and Gentlemen:
On June 3,1999 the NRC issued Administrative Letter 99-02, " Operating Reactor Licensing Action Estimates," which requested that addressees submit information pertaining to estimates of the number oflicensing actions that will be submitted for NRC's review for the upcoming Fiscal Years (FY) 2000 and 2001. In accordance with your request, Southern Nuclear Operating Company (Southern Nuclear) estimates that four (4) submittals will be made during FY 2000. Currently there are no submittals scheduled to be made during FY 2001. It is not anticipated that any of the scheduled submittals will potentially generate a complex review.
Southern Nuclear suggests that the NRC revise their requests to include only those licensing actions (i.e., license renewal, etc.) that would significantly impact the NRC i
resources. In the future, Southern Nuclear intends to provide estimates for only licensing actions that result in an expenditure of NRC resources above those required for the normal anticipated work lo.:d.

shifts in priorities and personnel availability.
