SUMMARY

- 2023 ANNUAL ASSESSMENT MEETING FOR EDWIN I. HATCH, UNITS 1 AND 2 DOCKET NO. 50-321, AND 50-366, MEETING NUMBER 20240479 On April 25, 2024, Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) representatives held an in-person Information Meeting (open house) with Question-and-Answer Session to provide the public with information on the annual performance assessment of Edwin I.

Hatch, Units 1 and 2, for the period of January 1, 2023 - December 31, 2023.

To allow the NRC to effectively engage public stakeholders the meeting was held at the Dr. Mark and Tonya Spivey Public Library, 610 Jackson Street in Vidalia, Georgia. The meeting notice and annual assessment letters are accessible from the publicly available records (PARS) component of the NRCs document system (ADAMS). These documents have the following Accession Nos. in ADAMS: meeting notice (ML24096A031) and the annual assessment letter issued on February 28, 2024 (ML24047A107).

The meeting was conducted from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM eastern time. There were approximately 7 attendees. In summary, the attendees consisted of representative(s) from the NRC (3), Southern Nuclear Company (2), Office of United States Senator Raphael Warnock (1), and one (1) member of the public. NRC representatives discussed their assessment of Hatchs performance, as documented in the annual assessment letter, and discussed topics of public interest during the question-and-answer session. Enclosed are a list of attendees and a copy of the information discussed at the meeting.
