Dear Mr. Varga:

License Change Application 124 Containment Isolation Valves Pursuant to discussions, attached are revised pages for LCA 124. This change adds seven of eight valves back onto Table 3.6-1 that were proposed to be deleted in LCA 124. These revised pages are submitted to expedite NRC review and approval of LCA 124. The licensing criteria for Containment penetrations at the Trojan Nuclear Plant will be reexamined in light of current criteria in their specific application to these seven valves. A separate LCA to address only these seven valves may be submitted pending the results of this examination.

As discussed, the eighth valve (MO-8106 - CVCS charging) is clearly not a containment isolation valve. This is because check valve 8381 is available as an inner barrier and valve MO-8105 is available as an outer barrier for the charging line. Therefore, it is proposed that valve MO-8106 remain deleted from TTS Table 3.6-1.
