In accordance with 10 CFR 50.71(e), enclosed with this letter is Amendment 7 to Portland General Electric Company PGE-1052," Quality-Related List Classification Criteria for the Trojan Nuclear Plant." -
Amendment 7 removes reference to several clean up systems; deletes exemptions allowed by Regulatory Guide (RG) 1.143; deletes discussion of systems or configurations that have been i deactivated or removed; and deletes figures no longer required to support discussion of RG 1.143. I PGE certifies that PGE-1052, Amendment 7, accurately represents changes made since the previous submittal (PGE-1052, Amendment 6) necessary to reflect information and analyses prepared pursuant to Commission requirements.

Attachment to VPN-063-98 October 27,1998 Page1of1 Summary Description of Changes The following list provides a synopsis of the changes incorporated into PGE-1052, Amendment 7. These changes have been evaluated and determined not to involve an unreviewed safety question as required by 10 CFR 50.59. Changes are identified below by Licensing Docume.:t Change Request (LDCR) numbers.
These changes also have been shown to meet the criteria of Amendment No.192 of Trojan Possession Only License, NPF-1, in that the changes do not adversely impact the safe storage of irradiated fuel or increase the likelihood of an offsite release of radioactive material due to a fire.
LDCR 98-021 Section 4.8 is revised to incorporate changes associated with designating the new Modular Spent Fuel Pool Cleanup System as the primary mode of spent fuel pool purification. The System was installed per Defueled Plant Modification Request (DPMR)97-026, Detailed Construction Package (DCP) 1.
LDCR 98-035 Section 4.8 is revised to delete discussions no longer pertinent to current plant conditions and clarify that systems, or portions thereof, are no longer ,
quality-related ifdeactivated. Figures 4.8.2-1 through 4.8.2-20 are deleted j along with accompanying discussions contained in Section 4.8. The 1 figures are no longer required to support discussion of RG 1.143 l boundaries. These changes were made by DPMR 98-006, DCP 1.
