Dear Sir:

NRC Bulletin 88-04. Potential Safety-Related Pump Loss By letter dated July 18, 1988, Portland General Electric Company (PGE) provided a response to Bulletin 88-04 summarizing the initial actions taken to ensure adequate minimum flow for safety-related pumps. The response did not completely address all of the Bulletin items because pump vendor information had not been received.

Based on verbal agreement between PGE and the Nuclear Regulatory

-Commission, PGE will submit final closeout of Bulletin 88-04 by January 15, 1990.
