SUBJECT:

Notification of the NRC of Employees' Potential Safety Issues

Dear Mr. McCaughey:

B&W Fuel Company's Personnel Manager, R.

E. Erwine, reviewed the l

standard employment and labor agreements for the Commercial Nuclear Fuel Plant and found that there are no restrictions contractually i

or otherwise, that inhibit employees contacting the NRC with concerns about potential safety issues.

He concluded that no l

employees have been or will be discriminated against for raising safety issues or for filing a complaint with the NRC, including staff members, inspectors, investigators, Administrative Law Judges, Boards, or the Commission.

BWFC is committed to operating the CNFP safely and encourages employees to take part in our safety program.

All recommendations are included in a monthly report which is submitted to the Plant Manager, the Plant Safety Committee Chairman, the' appropriate Area Supervisor, and the plant Health Physicist.
