WET WEATHER STREAM RELEASE (TAC NO. L30746)

Dear Mr. Allsep:

This refers to your submittal dated November 25,1998, which included the " Characterization and Final Survey Plan for the Wet Weather Stream." The staff has completed review of your submittal and has determined that the Plan will facilitate collection of sufficient information to

" determine where further remediation is necessary and to demonstrate compliance with release criteria. In addition, the Plan adequately addresses all of the issues raised in our letter to you dated July 8,1998.

We encourage you to begin the survey work in accordance with this Plan as soon as practicable. If you have any questions on this matter, please contact me at 301-415-8139. In addition, please keep me informed of your survey schedule so that the NRC may perform an inspection of your survey program and/or a confirmatory survey.
