This acknowledges receipt of your letter dated December 14,1998, which served notice of your i l intention to initiate the operation of a chemistry laboratory at the Lynchburg Manufacturing I

Facility (LMF) in accordance with your license provisions in a semi-portable configuration l l between the LMF main plant and the SERF 3 structure. The staff has reviewed your submittal and agrees that this addition will result in a change only to Part 2 of your license, which means

that an amendment is not required.
