             This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. R. Wise of this office during
             the period January.25-29, 1988, of activities authorized by NRC Operating                                                                                                 ,
             License NPF-42 for the Wolf Creek Generating Station, and to the discussion of                                                                                            '
             our findings with Mr. R. Hagan and other members of your staff at the
             conclusion of the. inspection.

             Areas. examined during the inspection included portions of the radiological
             environmental monitoring program. Within these areas, the inspection consisted                                                                                            i
             of selectiv6 examination of procedures and representative records, interviews                                                                                             .
             with personnel, and observations by the NRC inspector. The inspection findings                                                                                            l
             are documented in the enclosed inspection report.
