PUBLIC MEETING - OCTOBER 7,1999
Dear Mr. Maynard:
On October 7,1999, a public meeting was conducted with representatives of the Wolf Creek Nuclear Station and members of the NRC Region IV Divisions of Reactor Safety and Reactor Projects to discuss the stus of the licensee's radiation protection program. Several members of the public also attended the meeting. The meeting was requested by the licensee and held at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Learning Center located at the Wolf Creek Nuclear Station.
The licensee presented a review of the radiological protection program performance during the past 2 years and the status of program improvements developed in response to issues and concerns identifi~i during program audits, self-assessments, and the recent investigation of a potential overexpot,are event.
The attendance list and the licensee's presentation are enclosed with this summary (Enclosures 1 and 2).
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's ". Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
