CHANGES TO WOLF CREEK RADIOLOGICAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN AP 06-002, REVISION 0
Dear Mr. Maynard:
This letter acknowledges receipt of your letter dated February 4,1999, which transmitted Wolf Creek's Radiological Emergency Response Plan 06-002, Revision 0, under the provisions of 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix E, Section V.
Based on your determination that the changes do not decrease the effectiveness of your emergency plan and thet it continues to meet the standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b) and the requirements of Appendix E to Part 50, NRC approval is not required. However, our initial review of these changes indicates some changes may be inconsistent with the criteria of 10 CFR 50.54(q) in that they may constitute a decrease in the effectiveness of your emergency plan. These issues were discussed with Messers. A. Harris and T. East of your staff on April 12, April 16, and June 10,1999.
Implementation of these plan changes will be subject to inspection to determine if they decreased the effectiveness of your emergency plan, in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
