This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. Thomas and

another inspector of this office March 17-19, 1987, of activities authorized

by NRC Construction Permit No. CPPR-135 and License No. NPF-56 at the Seabrook

Nucicar Power Station, Seabrook, New llampshire, and to discussions of our

findings, presented to Mr. William DiProfio and other members of your staff by

Mr. Thomas at the conclusion of the inspection.

Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I t

inspection report which is enclosed. Within these areas, the inspection

consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative records,

interviews with personnel and observations of the inspectors.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed. No reply to

this letter is required.
