This refers to the above subject safety inspection of the Seabrook Station,
Seabrook, New Hampshire.
The inspection results are described in the enclosed
report and were discussed with Mr. B. Drawbridge and other members of your staff.
Overall, this inspection found that the plant was operated safely as demonstrated
by successful completion of the Power Ascension Test Program and commencement
of full power. operation.
No violation of regulatory requirements was identified,
but a reactor trip and a turbine setback were caused by maintenance and sur-
ve111ance activities. Our inspection found your responses to these events and
your ongoing evaluations to be appropriate.
