Special Report No.90-007, Unit 2 Radiation Monitor Inoperable for More Than Seven Days At 1613 on 07-13-90, radiation monitor R-60D (Auxiliary Feed Pump Turbine Exhaust) was declared inoperable due to erroneous indication. Trouble-shooting isolated the problem to the detector which is accessible only

during cold shutdown. This monitor is scheduled to be repaired during the next outage of sufficient duration.

Technical Specification 3.3.3.1 requires this monitor to be returned to operable status within seven days or a Special Report be submitted within the next 14 days. Therefore, this Special Report is being submitted.

All Technical Specification action statement requirements are being met for this radiation monitor.
