In accordance with Technical Specificatior 3.7.11.1, Action Statement b.,
a 24-hour telephone notification was provided to the NRC on July 15, 1992, regarding the inoperability of the fire suppressioa water system. This letter serves as confirmation of the above notification.
At 1323 on July 15, 1992, a section of pipe in the fire main yard loop ruptured causing a loss of fira main water pressure.
The fire protection water tank levels dropped below the required levels.
The fire main rupture was isolated, the fire pumps restored, and the fire water tank levels were recoured to the Technical Specification required levels.
A Special Report will be submitted 1.0 the NRC within 14 days.
