CAUSE/ CORRECTIVE ACTION / COMMENTS l
NARRATIVE REPORT Following the 'l A' SGFP trip, at 1430 on 980521, with the unit operating at 100% reactor power, the unit was ramped to 60% reactor power to repair a broken wire to the 'l A' SGFP thrust bearing monitor. The wire was repaired and unit was returned to 100% power at 2348 on 980521.

CAUSE/ CORRECTIVE ACTION / COMMENTS NARRATIVE REPORT The reactor was manually tripped on 980512, when the control rod K-2 dropped into the core during control rod operability testing. The reactor was also manually tripped on 980515, when control rod F-10 dropped into the core during low power physics testing. Reference LER 98-001-01 (Unit 2).
On 980518 at 2334 the U2RF12 outage was completed and the generator synchronized to the grid. On 980523 Unit 2 was returned to 100% power. Power uprate modifications were completed during the outage.
