-tire Detection-Instrumentation Inoperable For More Than Fourteen Days.
At'2236 on 11-17-90,-during a refueling outage, all smoke detectors in room-2172 vere' disabled to allow welding in-the-room. Due to the scope of the work, the detectors-were notz returned;to service.vithin fourteen days.
If less1than two-smoke detectors are operable in-_ room 2172,-Technical Specification 3.3.3.9 requires that the inoperable smoke detectors be restored to' operable status within 14_ days,_or a Special Report must be submitted within the.following 30 days.
Therefore, this Special~ Report is being submitted.
-7 All'the smoke detectors in room-2172 vere returnad to service on December-5.
