We note that you have had Revision 18 to the Commonwealth Edison Company Topical Report No. CE-1-A approved on July 17, 1981. This revision clarified the procurement of replacement parts from original manufacturers where originally no specific quality assurance program requirements had been identified because of procurement prior to the

effective date of Appendix B to 10 CFR 50.

We will examine these matters during a subsequent inspection.
