REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR ITEMS 3.1.3 AND l 3.2.3 0F GENERIC LETTER 83-28, POST MAINTENANCE TESTING FOR REACTOR TRIP SYSTEM AND ALL OTHER SAFETY-RELATED COMPONENTS FOR PERRY NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNITS 1 & 2 1 (TAC NOS. 61706 and 61707) 1 We have reviewed your April 6,1984 response to Generic Letter 83-28 concerning the subject items. Your response to items 3.1.3 and 3.2.3 references your response to item 4.5.3. This latter item relates to the surveillance testing intervai while items 3.1.3 and 3.2.3 relate to post-maintenance testing requirements contained in the Technical Specifications (TS). These items i

require a review of the Technical Specifications for identification of post-maintenance (nct routine surveillance) testing called out in the TS which j you perceive could degrade rather than enhance safety. Any testing l identified which wot,1d degrade safety should be modified by submitting an l appropriate license amendment application. If no testing requirements are ident'ified which could degrade rather than enhance safety, a statement to that j effect should be included in your response, j
