Cy letter dated Ma.ch 10,1999 (PY-CEl/NRR-2368L), FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company informed the staff that the subject license amendrnent request on the refueling interlocks dated

. April 9,1997 (PY-CEl/NRR-2155L), is being withdrawn. Your letter further stated that this amendment request will be replaced in the future by a similar request, based on an approved Standard Technical Specification Change Traveler, Number TSTF-225.

Based on this information, the staff considers your li:ense amendment request of April 9,1997, to be withdrawn. A copy of the enclosed Notice cf Withdrawal of Application to Facility Operating License has been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publicatinn.
