M. A. Kunowski and N. Shah of this office on September 5-21, 1990, of
activities.at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1, authorized by NRC

Facility Operating License No. NPF-58, and to the discussion of our

findings with Mr. R. A. Stratman and other; of your staff on
' September 21, 1990.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined

during the inspection.
Within these areae,, the inspection consisted
of.a selective examination of procedures'and representative records,
'<
observations, independent measurements, and interviews with personnel.
No viol'ations'of NRC requirements were identified by the inspectors
during the inspection; however, one violation was identified by your .
,
'
staff, as discussed in Section 3 of this report. Because this violation
satisfied the criteria of 10 CFR 2, Appendix C, Section V.G.1., a Notice
of: Violation was not. issued.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy

of this letter and -the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the
- NRC Public Document Room.
