This refers to the special safety inspection conducted by Mr. J. M. Jacobson'
of this office on April 25-27 and June 20, 1989, of activities at Perry
Nuclear Power Plant authorized by NRC Operating License No. NPF-58 and to

the discussion of our findings with Mr. R. A. Stratman'and others at the

. conclusion of the inspection.~ The focus of this inspection was the review of
your evaluation and corrective actions taken to resolve the loose Drywell Head
bolting issue;
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during'
'the inspection.
Within these areas, the insp ction consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations,tand
interviews.with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
, . inspection.
