ORDER APPROVING THN TRANSFER OF LICENSE FOR PERRY NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNIT 1, FROM DUQUESNE LIGHT COMPANY TO CLEVELAND ELECTRIC lLLUMINATING COMPANY AND APPROVING CONFORMING AMENDMENT '(TAC NO. MA5372)
Dear Mr. Wood:
The enclosed Order is in response to the application from the Cleveland Electric illuminating Company, the Duquesne Light Company, and the FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company, dated May 5,1999 (PY-CEl/NRR-2394L). The application requested approval of the transfer of Operating License NPF-58 for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1, to the extent held by Duquesne Light Company, to the Cleveland Electric liluminating Company and approval of a conforming amendment pursuant to Sections 50.80 and 50.90 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations The enclosed Order gives consent to the proposed transfer, subject to the conditions described therein. The Order also approves a conforming license amendment, which will be issued and made effective when the transfer is completed.
The Order has been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
