Gentlemen:
This refers to the special safety inspection conducted by Mr. W. C. Liu of
this office from March 5 through July 2, 1990, of activities at the Perry
Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1, authorized by HRC Operating License No. NPF-58,
dnd to the discussion of our findings with Mr. R. Stratman and others of your
staff-dt the conclusion of the inspection. The focus of this inspection was
the off-gas system and its assocaited events.
The enclosed copy of our inspection re) ort identifies areas examined during
the inspection. Within these areas, t'ie inspection consisted 'of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.
in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the'Connission's regulations, a. copy of
this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's
Public Document Room.
