By letter dated September 26, 1986, thelicenseeforGGNS-1(formerlyMississippi Power & Light Company, now System Energy Resources, Inc.) prbvided information todemonstratecompliancewithoperatinglicensecondition2.C.(17). This license condition required replacement of the check valve disc in the feedwater l

The NRC staff has reviewed the licensee's submittal. The staff's safety evaluation is enclosed. The staff concludes that license condition 2.C.(17) has been fulfilled by replacement of the check valve disc in the Train B 1 feedwater line.

By letter dated September 26, 1986, the licensee for GGNS-1 (formerly Mississippi Power & Light Ccmpany, now System Energy Resources, Inc.) provided infonnation to demonstrate compliance with operating license condition 2.C.(17). This license condition required replacement of the check valve disc in the feedwater line into which cold water from the condensate storage tank is injected by the reactor core isolation cooling system (RCIC).

The NRC staff has reviewed the licensee's submittal. The staff's safety evaluation is enclosed. Thestaffconcludesthatlicensecondition2.C.(17) has been fulfilled by replacement of the check valve disc in the Train B feedwater line.
