Dear Mr. Hughey:

i We have reviewed your letter dated March 15,1999, and the enclosed objectives for the Grand '

l Gull Nuclear Station, Unit 1,1999 emergency plan exercise scheduled for June 23,1999.

Based on our review, we determined that the exercise objectives are appropriate to meet  ;

emergency plan requirements. The extent of simulation to be used during the exercise was discussed further with Mr. A. C. Morgan of your staff, on March 29,1999. Mr. Morgen provided satisfactory responses. ]

I We contacted the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Regions IV and VI, during ]
