Salamon TELEPHONE. 305 246-6560 REPORT MONTH   OCTOBER 1993 After starting the month with the unit shut down for the completion of a pressurizer manway leak repair, Unit 3 returned to 1004 on October 8. The unit was brought down to Mode 2 on October 18 to repair a ground on the 3B MSIV control circuit.

Salamon TELEPHONE:   305 246-6560 REPORT MONTH   OCTOBER 1993 After starting the month with Unit 4 at essentially 100% power, the unit was brought to 404 power on October 12 to perform a scheduled turbine valve test and inspect/repair the 4B Steam Generator Feed Pump Discharge Check Valve. The unit returned to 1004 power on October 15.
305 246-6560 REPORT MONTH OCTOBER 1993 After starting the month with Unit 4 at essentially 100%power, the unit was brought to 404 power on October 12 to perform a scheduled turbine valve test and inspect/repair the 4B Steam Generator Feed Pump Discharge Check Valve.The unit returned to 1004 power on October 15.The unit reduced power on October 15 to 404 to repair a condenser tube leak.The unit returned to 100>power on October 18.The unit reduced power on October 20 to 304 to repair a condenser tube leak.The unit returned to 1004 power on October 21 and remained at essentially that level through the end of the month.On September 19, 1992, with Unit 4 in Mode 3, PORV PCV-4-456 opened during testing of valves MOV-4-750 and MOV-4-751.(See Special Report forwarded by letter L-92-275, dated October 19, 1992 for additional information).*

On October 5, 1992, with Unit 4 in Mode 5, PORV PCV-4-455C opened during a surveillance of the Overpressure Mitigating System, resulting in slight depressurization of the Reactor Coolant System.(See LER 251-92-008 forwarded by letter L-92-296, dated October 28, 1992, for additional information).*
The unit reduced power on October 20 to 304 to repair a condenser tube leak. The unit returned to 1004 power on October 21 and remained at essentially that level through the end of the month.
*The challenges to the PORVs are being reported at this time due to oversights during the preparation of the October and November 1992, Monthly Operating Reports.

SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE DOCKET NO. 50-250 UNIT Turke Point Unit 3 DATE November 15 1993 COMPLETED BY: G. Salamon TELEPHONE. 305 246-6560 REPORT MONTH OCTOBER 1993 After starting the month with the unit shut down for the completion of a pressurizer manway leak repair, Unit 3 returned to 1004 on October 8. The unit was brought down to Mode 2 on October 18 to repair a ground on the 3B MSIV control circuit.

Unit 3 returned to 1004 power on October 20 and remained at essentially that level through the end of the month.

SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE DOCKET NO ~ 50-251 UNIT Turke Point Unit 4 DATE November 15 1993 COMPLETED BY:G. Salamon TELEPHONE: 305 246-6560 REPORT MONTH OCTOBER 1993 After starting the month with Unit 4 at essentially 100% power, the unit was brought to 404 power on October 12 to perform a scheduled turbine valve test and inspect/repair the 4B Steam Generator Feed Pump Discharge Check Valve. The unit returned to 1004 power on October 15.

The unit reduced power on October 15 to 404 to repair a condenser tube leak. The unit returned to 100> power on October 18.

The unit reduced power on October 20 to 304 to repair a condenser tube leak. The unit returned to 1004 power on October 21 and remained at essentially that level through the end of the month.

On September 19, 1992, with Unit 4 in Mode 3, PORV PCV-4-456 opened during testing of valves MOV-4-750 and MOV-4-751. (See Special Report forwarded by letter L-92-275, dated October 19, 1992 for additional information).*

On October 5, 1992, with Unit 4 in Mode 5, PORV PCV-4-455C opened during a surveillance of the Overpressure Mitigating System, resulting in slight depressurization of the Reactor Coolant System. (See LER 251-92-008 forwarded by letter L-92-296, dated October 28, 1992, for additional information).*
