REPORT MONTH Unit 3 began the month shut down for a refueling. The unit returned to power on October 8, 1995. The unit remained at 30%

power or less for a secondary water chemistry hold, testing and turbine balancing until October 14. The plant was returned to 100% power and remained so until a manual reactor trip was initiated after the inadvertant drop of four control rods on October 17. The plant was returned to 100% power on October 18, and remained at essentially that level through the end of the month.
