off REPORT MONTH October 1998 Unit 3 was shut down for a refueling outage for most of October. The unit's return to power operations was delayed by about 70 hours8.101852e-4 days <br />0.0194 hours <br />1.157407e-4 weeks <br />2.6635e-5 months <br /> by Hurricane Georges (see LER 250/98-005). The unit was restarted on October 27, and placed on line on October 28. Early on October 29, the unit was taken back lin to perform a turbine overspeed test, and placed back on line later that day.

Power was slowly increased, and finished the month at approximately 49% reactor power.
