Resolution of Generic Letter 83-28, Items 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.2.1, 3.2.2, and 4.5.1 for Vogtle Units 1 and 2 i 1

On August 26, 1986, Georgia Power Company submitted a supplemental response to its November 8,1983, response to Generic Letter 83-28, Items 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.2.1, 3.2.2, and 4.5.1 for Vogtle Units 1 and 2. The November 8, 1983, response and the August 26, 1986, supplemental response were evaluated for compliance to the NRC staff positions delineated in Generic Letter 83-28. Our evaluation revealed that the responses to Items 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.2.1, 3.2.2, and 4.5.1 were incomplete. Our letter dated December 31, 1986, and SSER 5 dated January 1987, detailed the additional information needed for each item.

Responses to the above requests were submitted in Georgia Power Company letters dated January 15 and June 9,1987.

I We have completed our review of your supplemental responses to Items 3.1.1, l 3.1.2, 3.2.1, 3.2.2, and 4.5.1 and find that they are acceptable. The details of our evaluation and the basis for our conclusions are discussed in the enclosed safety evaluation.
