V0GTLE UNITS 1/2 - GENERIC LE'TER 83-28, ITEM 4.5.3 With the assistance of a contractor, Idaho National Engineering Laboratory, we have completed our review of Item 4.5.3 to Generic Letter 83-78 regarding intervals for on-line testing of the reactor protective system.
As discussed in more ' detail in the enclosed safety evaluation, we find that the Westinghouse Owners' Group efforts have adequately addressed this item and therefore we consider this item resolved for Vogtle Units 1 and 2.
Our contractor's Technical Evaluation Report (TER) (EGG-NTA-8341) is also enclosed.
