Dear Mr. Thompson:

Replacement and Requalification Training Program (Ceneric Letter No. 84-14. Dated May 11, 1984)

Our letter of July 6, 1984, responding to the subject letter indicated our intention to revise Section 13.2 of the Trojan Updated FSAR. At that time, we also anticipated submittal of detailed information concerning the licensed operator replacement and requalification training program.

Updated FSAR Section 13.2 has been revised as part of Amendment 3.

Section 13.2.1.3 has been expanded to include more description of the licensed operator retraining program, and specific sections on the training programs for SRO candidates with and without 4-year degrees have been added.

Amendment 3 will be submitted to the NRC in July 1985 in accordance with 10 CFR 50.71(e)(4). The previously anticipated separate submittal describ-ing the replacement and requalification training program is deemed to be no longer necessary.

Sincerely, J

Bart D. Withers' Vice president Nuclear et Mr. Lynn Frank, Director State of Oregon Department of Energy p[))
