SUBJECT:

LCW PRESSURE' TURBINE DISC INSPECTION - GRAND GULF NUCLEAR STATION (GGNS), UNIT 1 (TAC NO 56442) i By letter dated December 1,1989, System Energy Resources, Inc., submitted the results of the ultrasonic inspection of the discs in_ low pressure turbine No. 1.

at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, Unit 1.

The inspection was performed during the third refueling outage in accordance with Operating License Condition 2.C.(26).

The sumary report showed that no significant flaw indications were fouad in the 3

discs bores. No indications were detected in the disc keyways. We conclude I

that the report of the inspection results is acceptable.
