Bay Area ever conducted.

c8 We are particularly concerned--in view of the serious ambiguities g ...

surrounding the geology and seismology of the proposed reactor site--

with Dr. Mcdonald's findin6s with respect to a low coastal inversion )

in the Bode 6a Bay region, the hiSh frequency of such inversions, and ET,1 the particularly strong prevalence of vinds blowing toward the metro-politah Bay Area.  !

$ 1. . These findin6s would appear to argue persuasively that no ambiguity c- g should be allowed to remain over the possibility of seismically induced

[n_i rupturing of the reactor containment. Since these atmospheric con-

-g ditions render the Bodega installation essentailly an "in-town" reactor, any softening of the conditions set forth in Mr. Harold Price's

] letter to the applicant of May 19th would not, in our opinion, satisfy 5 the criteria of Senator Clair Engle's Jeint Resolution No. 167 Additional copies of Dr. Mcdonald's report vill be supplied on
